After getting her Masters degree in physics at Exeter, and also studying for a year at the University of Kansas, Thomasina joined SSE Energy Solutions in Reading as a Major Projects Graduate in September 2021. She is a charismatic, organised and driven individual, hoping to one day apply her aptitude for physics and mathematics to improve the world we live in through the power of research and technology.
She cites her days at Tiffin Girls' as formative. Indeed although her career isn't within sport, undoubtedly her ambition, drive and determination comes from her background and commitment to sport with team-building skills honed at Tiffin Girls' playing hockey, netball and cricket. She remembers: "Being captain of the hockey team was confidence building. You learnt that your friends could also respect your decision making abilities and that they had faith in you and your leadership qualities."
Her previous work experience includes being a sales assistant at Mountain Warehouse and at Lush Cosmetics as well as volunteer work as a hockey coach and working at Revitalise, a charity providing holidays for disabled people and their carers.
