A Hockey Masterclass with International star Sarah Evans, launched the Sports Centre Campaign at the School on Tuesday 23 November.
The session was attended by more than 100 students and we were also pleased to welcome a group of hockey enthusiasts from nearby Greycourt School.
Sarah helped England win bronze medals at the 2017 Euros and 2018 Commonwealth Games, was a star performer at the 2018 Vitality Hockey Women’s World Cup, squad member during the 2019 and 2020/21 FIH Hockey Pro League campaigns, scored three times for England at the 2021 Euros and was a reserve during the 2020 Olympics. She is captain of seven times Hockey League winners, Surbiton.
With such credentials and experience it was unsurprising that she inspired our students with a focused skills session while putting them through their paces. The session culminated in a 'Beat the Goalie' shoot out.
